Setup and Product Specifications - BOPIS Pro Indicator

Setup

The sensor bracket with its magnetic-base-clip can be adjusted for placement on top of the printer (fig. 1) or hung from above. (fig. 2) If placing the sensor on a non-magnetic surface such as plastic, use the metal disc with its removable adhesive tab. Place the sensor approximately 4 to 8 inches from the paper in the output tray and point it downward toward the lowest 1/3 of the page. The sensor’s sensitivity has been set in advance and should not need further adjustment. But the multi-turn pot on the rear of the sensor can be turned Anti-clockwise to reduce sensitivity, or clockwise to increase sensitivity.

Control Box front Plug in the 12Vdc supply and the sensor and switch on power. You can now test the sensor function by observing the red LED (on the back of the sensor) while placing paper in and out of the output tray. Experiment with positioning, when the right placement has been found, peel and stick the round steel disk then set the magnetic sensor on top.

Control Box rear   You will need a small screwdriver. Strip the wires and connect to the screw terminals to DC adaptor. Back out the screws before inserting the wire.

Fuse Replacement

The ATA fuses are easily accessed and replaced by removing one of the end panels and sliding the PCB out of its slot. Standard, mini or micro sizes will fit. Replace with a 1A fuse for normal two channel operation when using a 2A supply *.

  • Indoor lights will draw between 50 and 300mA.
  • The outdoor light will draw 500mA.
  • * Vintage automobile taillights for instance might need more amperage and this can be accomplished with a single output by: (1) doubling the fuse value and (2) removing the fuse from the unused channel. This will make available 2A from one output channel.
